Translation Experience
I have been working as a professional translator since 2008 and have experience translating a wide range of documents for different clients, working both independently and for agencies. I have translated documents for several Mexican government departments, NGOs and social science researchers, which has included decrees and legal reforms, articles and research. I have experience translating for Latin American journalists and artists, as well as content for websites, publicity, technical texts and contracts.
I have also worked as a local producer and onsite translator / liaison interpreter for British television productions in Mexico (BBC and ITV) helping to manage expectations between two very different cultures.
My position as the director of a study abroad program based in Oaxaca, Mexico has honed my abilities to offer cultural integration support. I have experience in a wide range of Latin American contexts, from urban sprawls to indigenous communities.
